Methods and Techniques
We use a variety of methodological and technical approaches in the field, laboratory and on the computer. Depending on the research question, we use a range of sensors in the field, often supplemented by close-range sensing (e.g. terrestrial laser scanning and UAV-based flights) and geophysical prospection (e.g. ground-penetrating radar, geoelectrics and seismic methods). On campus, the Chair has access to a fully equipped soil and sediment lab, as well as a powerful computing infrastructure.
