LS Geomorphologie
Meine Forschung konzentriert sich auf geomorphologische Prozesse im Hochgebirge - in den Alpen, im nepalesischen Himalaya und den argentinischen Anden. Sowohl die Analyse und das Monitoring der gegenwärtigen Sedimentdynamik als auch die Rekonstruktion der Landschaftsentwicklung faszinieren mich - insbesondere dahingehend, wie sich diese sehr sensiblen und potenziell gefährlichen Geosysteme im Rahmen des Klimawandels veränder(te)n. Ich arbeite mit vielfältigen geowissenschaftlichen Methoden, u.a. terrestrisches Laserscanning, structure-from-motion Photogrammetrie, Umweltseismologie, geophysikalische Prospektion, Kartierung, Rammkernsondierungen, stratigraphisch/bodenkundliche Analysen, GIS und 3D-Modellierung.
