My research interest lies in exploring climate change and human migration nexus in the mountain communities of the eastern Hindu Kush region. I am particularly interested in human migration (its patterns, causes and consequences) and how it is linked to climate change in the wider socioeconomic and political context of northern Pakistan. I use a combination of methods from both physical geography (remote sensing of satellite data) and human geography (survey methodology and interviews).
